Abstract
Sea anemone cytolysins (RTX) are lethal polypeptides which act directly at membrane level. The primary mode of cytolytic polypeptides from the sea anemone Radianthus macrodactylus is their insertation into bilayers and the subsequent formation of “pores” which lead to cell lysis.
