Abstract
Presence of two chemically bonded reaction centres (i.e., primary and tertiary amino groups) in unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (DMH) provides the synthesis of various chemical compounds with very interesting properties. Among them the compounds with a latent reactivity combined with an ability to be soluted or dispergated in water and ion containing compounds are of great interest for macromolecular chemistry. The typical examples or using of DMH and its derivatives as monomers, in synthesis of oligomers and polymers, in reactions of polymers and as additives in polymer compositions are reviewed.
