Abstract
The menopause constitutes a watershed in a woman’s life that leads to profound changes in several systems. As the realization of the multisystem nature of these changes, ranging from psychological to bone to cardiovascular, has developed, so also has the awareness that many of these changes can be prevented or completely modified with therapy. The mainstay of this therapy continues to be the appropriate use of estrogen.
