Abstract

The classical electrostatic screening is revisited. We find major revisions already in the weak screening limit. Here we discuss the classical expression for the screening and show that the picture used to derive the screening is wrong. When corrected, all the screening factors are multiplied by a factor of 3/2 in the exponent.
