Abstract
Most adult donors reaching a centre for living related liver transplantation have some idea about living related liver transplantation (LRLT) and about the possibility that they themselves might become a donor. From the outset there is, therefore, some form of consent to the concept or principle of donating part of the liver to their child. However, selection and preparation of the donor is of the utmost importance.
