Abstract
Any change with time in the state of a quantum mechanical system can be described by keeping the axes fixed and allowing the state vector to rotate, or by keeping the state vector fixed and allowing the axes to rotate. The two possibilities described above are called Schrödinger and Heisenberg picture, respectively. Let Ĥ be the Hamilton operator of the system. We assume that the Hamilton operator is self-adjoint.
