Abstract
Quantum mechanics, as opposed to classical mechanics, gives a probabilistic description of nature. The probabilistic interpretation of measurement is contained in one of the standard postulates of quantum mechanics (Glimm and Jaffe [26], Prugovecki [47], Schommers [52]).
