Abstract

The European floodplain forest ecosystems represent specific forest biogeocenoses with a specific species composition related to ecotypes formed on Quaternary river alluvia. In spite of regional differences closely related types of production conditions developed with azonal and unique vegetation, showing the similar quality and intensity of production and decomposition processes.
