Abstract
The noise performance for a SITe 2K x 2K CCD was optimized focusing on the systematic variation of a single parameter, the Reset Drain Voltage (VOD). A graph containing a set of curves for the FET output amplifier was used to illustrate the region in which the CCD output stage operates as VOD is varied. Additionally the effect of different CCD grounding schemes on readout noise (RON) was investigated. Finally, load resistor RL and CCD operating temperature were also varied to explore their influence on RON.
