Catalytic Transformation of Alkenes and Alkynes in the Presence of Group 6 Metal Carbonyls

  • Chapter
Metathesis Polymerization of Olefins and Polymerization of Alkynes

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((ASIC,volume 506))

Abstract

This review summarizes the most interesting approaches in each of three catalyzed by a Group 6 metal carbonyl compounds reactions: polymerization of alkynes, isomerization of alkenes and metathesis of alkenes. Special attention is given to catalytically active intermediate species formed in photoinduced reaction and to the reaction mechanism.
