Abstract

This paper raises an important public issue concerning the need for a detailed survey of the geology around the Northern Polygon with the purpose of defining the potential hazard to, and possible disruption of, the present stability of the zone ‘created’ for liquid radioactive waste disposal, as well as other rock masses within the territory of the MCC.
