Microelectronics Education

Abstract

This paper outlines the structure and methodology underlying a Web-Based Course (WBC) on Microelectronics targeted to the students of the third year of the Electronics Engineering curriculum. The contents are delivered through custom-made courseware, based on a hypertext and integrated by tools for practice and evaluation purposes. The use of multimedia features and interactive models of basic components and circuits enhances learning. Together with pedagogical and technical issues, the paper discusses the pedagogical effectiveness of a Web-based environment integrating learning material delivery and teacher-learners interaction, using properly designed tools.
