Abstract
The Danish Energy Agency is one of four agencies in the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The Danish Energy Agency prepares and administers legislation related to production, supply and consumption of energy in Denmark. Furthermore the Agency carry out assessments of trends in energy and elaborates energy plans. Right now and in the next years one of the most important tasks is to follow up on Denmark’s new energy action plan Energy 21. Energy 21 maintains the national target of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 20% by the year 2005 in relation to the 1988 level.
