Symmetry-Group Justification of Maximum Entropy Method and Generalized Maximum Entropy Methods in Image Processing

Abstract

Maximum entropy method and its generalizations are very useful in image processing. In this paper, we show that these methods naturally follow from reasonable symmetry requirements.
