Abstract

Platelets are a major source for human Fc receptors. Together with their precursors, the megakaryocytes, they express membrane bound Fc receptors and produce soluble Fc receptors. Receptors for IgG, the Fcγreceptor, and IgE, the Feεreceptor, are expressed at the platelet surface, respectively.

Literature up to November 1996 is included.
