Abstract

Tumors express numerous specific receptors for peptide ligands (Eckelman 1994, Reubi 1995). Thus, the development and application of peptides and proteins, including monoclonal antibodies and their fragments for receptor mapping, tumor targeting and therapy control is one of the most active areas of radiopharmaceutical research (Miller 1993, Fishman et al. 1993).
