Abstract
Recent advances in medicine have created many ethical problems. These ethical problems confront physicians, health planners and religious leaders. Religious people are usually in a dilemma, since such techniques have no precedent and their opinions are mandatory. Two of the most conflicting issues in the Islamic religion are organ transplantation and the definition of brain death.
