Abstract
Rheometry now progressively moves out of the scientific laboratory and enters into factories and manufacturing processes. In view of this new aspect, the production engineer and the manufacturer of viscometric instruments have to decide what kind of fundamental rheometric experiment would be the most successful, e.g. for process control. Should they choose rate control or stress control?
