Abstract
CampusWorld is an on-line educational service from BT. It replaces Campus 2000, a bulletin board style service with teletext style graphics which was introduced in the early 1980s. It was out of date in terms of its user interface and architecture and consequently was rapidly losing customers. Customers wanted access to the new Web technology with all that it offers, plus they wanted access to Internet mail to enable them to talk to educational establishments throughout the world.
