Integration of Multiple Software Tools for the Design and Analysis of Structures

Abstract

There is, actually, a normalization process on Europe, leaded by the EU institutions, that includes the elaboration of norms for the greenhouse structures, conditioning the financing for the farmers to the presentation of adequate projects. In the Province of Almería, taking advantage of its favorable weather conditions and with the development of a proper type of low-cost greenhouse, is situated the largest concentration of greenhouses in the world. Now, this normalization process and the liberalization of markets threaten these advances, becoming necessary to face these challenges by means of technological advances adapted to our environment.
