Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present the perspective of a developing country on Joint Implementation (JI) and Activities Implemented Jointly (AIJ). Therefore a brief introduction to the situation of Costa Rica is given, before describing the different generations of AIJ projects in Costa Rica and their benefits.
