Abstract
Let us consider the scattering of the charged spinless particles on an impenetrable cylinder C of radius R, whose axis coincides with the z axis (Figure 7.1). The wave function and the scattering amplitude are: where ρ,ϕ,z are the cylindrical coordinates, J m and are the cylindrical functions, and k2 = 2μE/ħ2. Clearly Ψ0 disappears for r = R. This guarantees the impenetrability of the cylinder C.
