Abstract

A re-organization has been recently introduced in Italian nursing schools. At the end of the courses they have been allowed to confer a degree equivalent to a three-year university level; applicants must have a high school diploma. This paper offers a survey of Italian sources dedicated to nursing science and discusses how University and hospital libraries can cooperate with nursing libraries in order to support student nurses during their theoretical studies and the training period and satisfy employed nurses’ requests of up-to-date information.
