Abstract
The recent decision of the National Library of Medicine of Bethesda (NLM) to allow all Internet users access to the PubMed database1 (has stimulated our Libraries (the Vallisneri Biomedical Library, the Library of Department of Pharmacology and the Library of Institute of Hygiene) to make a comparison between the MEDLINE free-use and the product available in the local Padua University network (Silver Platter MEDLINE Advanced).
