Abstract

In the preceding chapters we have shown how to generate the h int representation for a mammogram using mathematical models of the imaging process. In this chapter we seek to further verify our modelling using practical results and to perform a more theoretical study looking at the sensitivity of the h int values as the calibration data is varied. Consequently, the first part of the chapter should be accessible to a wide readership, whilst the latter part is more mathematical and can be skipped by readers who are less interested in the mathematical detail.
