Where have we arrived? What answers have emerged for the questions posed in the introduction: When does the processor compute interpretations for the constituents of a sentence? What interpretive decisions are obligatory, and what underspecification is allowed? What component tasks are implicated in ordinary sentence comprehension? What context is consulted in performing each task?
