Abstract

Operation of nuclear power plants (NPP) of nuclear submarines (NS), their decommissioning and utilisation is accompanied by generation of large volumes of liquid (LW) and various solidified (SW) radioactive wastes, as well as spent nuclear fuel (SNF). Safe handling of these materials is a complicated engineering, technological and management problem of the state-level importance. Unfortunately, due to a number of financial and other actual reasons it is being solved inefficiently so far.
