Abstract

During recent decades, the availability of assays to measure drug concentrations has resulted in a proliferation of pharmacokinetic studies. On occasion these studies provide tremendous insight into clinical problems. In this session, I will review some basic principles and study designs of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling and explain how these principles can facilitate clinical practice.
