Abstract
Viscoplasticity models for describing strain rate-dependent behavior in fibrous composites are reviewed. The focus is on the use of a one-parameter plastic potential function in characterizing the nonlinear stress-strain relations and on the use of off-axis composite specimens to generate data that capture the anisotropic properties. Experimental results of an S2 glass composite are used to verify the constitutive models.
