Abstract
The basic theory of establishing structural successions in complexly deformed rocks has been covered in the previous chapters. In this chapter we will consider what is entailed when it comes to putting the theory into practice and discuss aspects that are especially relevant to fieldwork in highly deformed rocks. In the following chapters we will examine examples from complex terranes that have been studied in detail using this approach.
