Abstract
On 9 May Napoleon marched through Dresden on his way to Russia. On 23rd at two o’clock in the afternoon Madame de Staël entered a covered carriage together with Albertine. Both were dressed as if going for a walk. They set out for London, passing through Russia and Sweden. Auguste accompanied them up to the border of Bern, where Schlegel was awaiting them.
