Abstract
This paper describes the feature of the classical Japanese kana characters and presents a multi-media solution to the learning of such writing. This discussion closely bases on the development of a CD-ROM product, “kanaCLASSIC™, An Electronic Guide to Learning Classical Japanese kana Writing.”. The author wishes that this experience could serve our future works with the new multi-media technology and a better approach to language teaching and learning in both pedagogical and practical manners.
