Abstract
In the modern modal theory of possible worlds1 one interesting question is the notion of accessibility. What does it mean to think that one world is accessible from another world? Accessibility is a relation, and is defined as relative to possibility. Which conditions determine one world being possible relative to another? We can say that whatever the relation is that makes one world accessible from another, logical possibility is defined by a type of accessibility relation. This means that whatever kinds of worlds there are, they are accessible from another world in the case of logical possibility.
