Abstract
We have seen in Chapter 10 that the Fourier-based approach can be extended to superpositions of curvilinear gratings or non-periodic, repetitive layers in general (provided that their mathematical expressions are known). Although the spectrum in such cases may be only partially impulsive or even purely continuous, our basic theory remains valid in these cases as well.
