Abstract

A new series of Cu(II) coordination compounds with 4- (azo derivatives)-3-methyl —1-(2’-benzthyazolyl)-pyrazol-5-one in a ratio Cu/L=1/2 were synthesized. These complex combinations were characterized by elementary analyses, molecular weight, electric conductibility measurements, IR, UV-VIS and RPE spectra. The covalency parameters(alpha, beta, beta 1) were computed using the RPE spectra results and the energy of the electronic d-d transitions and the symmetry of the coordination polyhedra was established.
