Definition 2.1.1 A set of groups is said to be a class of groups if when this set contains a group G, then it also contains all groups isomorphic to G. When a group G belongs to a class F of groups, we say that G is an F-group. If a subgroup of a group belongs to F, then we say that this subgroup is an F-subgroup.
