Abstract
Although the radiocontrast media (RCM) used routinely for the past 30 years are relatively safe drugs, adverse reactions to these conventional, ionic contrast agents can be expected with an overall frequency of 5–12% [1–5]. In one out of every 1000 examinations, a reaction of life-threatening severity may occur [6,7].
