Abstract
There are two reasons:
-
1.
To determine whether the precursor lesions can be identified in relation to cancer of the gastric cardia.
-
2.
As a marker for, or diagnostic test for, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), in the setting where such a test is needed.
