Abstract
Lebeaux’s paper has numerous dimensions with far reaching consequences. I will comment on several of these briefly and then discuss only one in depth, namely his proposal concerning the existence, nature and interaction of default parameters and operations. A default theory of case and agreement will be outlined, based on child and adult data.
