Abstract
The formation of a LaA103 buffer layer on polycrystalline Al2O3 substrates is described. The influence of substrate density, sprayed La2O3 amount, annealing time and temperature were studied in order to determine the most suitable process and to understand the diffusional aspects of the reactions. A 15 µm thick LaAlO3, layer was obtained after annealing at 1525°C for four hours.
