Abstract
Polytitanocarbosilanes (PTCS) have been synthesized by interaction of low-molecular (Mn=300–600) compounds of carbosilane structure with tetrabutoxytitanium or polytitanodiphenylsiloxane (PTDPhS). Another way was thermal decomposition of polydimethylsilan and further condensation pyrolysis products in PTDPhS presence. Investigation have been conducted relating to effect of titanium-containing components quality, initial compounds structure and synthesis procedure conditions on PTCS properties. Methods of gel permeation chromatography (GPC), IR, NMR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis were used. Possibility has been studied concerning PTCS use for composit materials components making: Si-Ti-C-O coreless fibers, ceramic matrices and powders.
