Abstract
The μτ-problem is formulated and documented. The solution of the μτ-problem is qualitatively illustrated by simplified equations which clearly show the difference between the trapping and recombination limited lifetimes. These equations and the results of detail computer modelling of the steady-state photoconductivity are compared with the new photoconductivity and SSPG technique experimental results. Finally the role of the Fermi level and effective correlation energy (Ueff) is discussed.

in Eq. 17 and 17′ of the ref.(2) (analogy of present Eq.(6)) the τe (τh)instead of τDe (τDh) should be generally used. In specific case used for illustration in ref.(2) (single level model) the τe = τDe (τh = τDh).
