A Case Study of Saltwater Intrusion in a Long and Thin Aquifer

  • Chapter

Abstract

Saltwater intrusion in a long and thin leaky aquifer has been modelled using linear boundary elements. Special features which had to be dealt with in the computational model include quasi-singularities, transition from semipervious layer to outflow face and two unknown fluxes at the interface tip.
