Binary Models for Analysing System Reliability
In this chapter we present some common models for analysis of system reliability. First we study the structural relations between a system and its components. Then methods for calculation of system reliability are studied, when the component reliabilities are known. Models for non-repairable and repairable systems are looked into. The components are assumed to be functioning/not functioning independently of each other, except in Section 3.6 where dependency is discussed.
