Abstract
In order to illustrate the background material given in the previous paper, some examples of on-going research will be described in this paper. The coherent inelastic scattering from dense gases at low momentum transfer, the incoherent inelastic scattering by a Lorentz gas and the static structure and chemical bonds of liquid sulphur will serve as these examples. In none of these cases can a comprehensive picture be given covering a wide (Q,ω) range and an extensive region of (P,V,T) space; but much can be learned from existing data and it is hoped that one can look forward to improved and more extensive experiments using new sources and techniques over the next decade.
