Abstract

In this paper we report on the use of two commercially available PC-based Expert System shells for the design of Communication Networks. Optimal Network design involves two major tasks, Traffic Data Synthesis and Topological Network design. Using the tools provided by the Leonardo and the VP Expert systems we have designed a Network Designer Assistant that facilitates the design process of Communication Networks.
