Abstract
It is a great pleasure for me to be here in this group and to be able to tell you something about recent activities in management science in Europe. Unfortunately, I shall have to confine myself to certain aspects of this area; I shall run the risk of being told by several Europeans, after my return, that I did not mention this or that subject That is the fate of anyone in my present position, which is my meagre justification of my modest selection.
