Effects of water pH on gas and ion transfer across fish gills

  • Chapter
Fish Ecophysiology

Part of the book series: Chapman & Hall Fish and Fisheries Series ((FIFI,volume 9))

Abstract

This chapter will be restricted to a discussion of the effects of changes in freshwater pH on fish, as relatively few studies have been carried out on the effects of changes in seawater pH on fish.
