Abstract
On the Sussex coast, between Eastbourne in the east and Cuckmere Haven in the west, there are some of the most impressive chalk cliffs in the whole of southern England. Whereas at Folkestone Warren in Ken (site 38) the cliff line has been worn down and complicated by major landslipping of the chalk over the underlying Gault Clay, in this area the chalk cliffs rise up majestically.
