Abstract
Rheometry is progressively moving out of the scientific laboratory and entering into factories in manufacturing processes. In view of this new aspect, the production engineer and the manufacturer of viscometric instruments have to decide what kind of fundamental rheometric experiment would be the most successful, e.g. for process control, i.e. rate- or stress-controlled rheometry?
